Cooking Goods
When it comes to cooking, I don’t believe I have any skills. I pretty much only fix scrambled eggs and heat up veggie burgers. But Anthropologie makes cooking look so cute, I might just have to try harder. Although, I already have those salt and pepper bears and nothing has really happened yet. Still…cute as can be!

Eye Masks
There is something so funny and cute about sleeping masks. Does anyone really wear these? Perhaps I should do a Holly Golightly and start wearing ear plugs and a matching mask to bed. Here are several that are for sale at Patricia Field

Free as a Bird
My boyfriend in out of town this weekend at a conference so I’ve had plenty of time to myself to play around with markers and fabric. Here is another lady I made this weekend.

Boho Girl
I was delighted to find an old bag full of vintage fabric scraps that I had long ago forgotten. Being that they are all small scraps, I plan to use them in drawings by sewing them to paper. Here is one I made yesterday.

Dinner on the Balcony
Today was yet another beautiful day outside! I went on a walk this morning with my dad, spent the afternoon drawing outside on a blanket, and this evening my boyfriend and I had a little chicken salad picnic on the balcony.

The Bravery Concert with Fiction Plane and Your Vegas
For only $10 at Headliners in Toledo, I got all of the following last night: three awesome concerts from The Bravery, Your Vegas, and Fiction Plane, FRONT row(!!!), a personal high five from Fiction Plane’s lead singer, and a towel from The Bravery’s drummer. A few times people tried to elbow us out of our so-close-the guitar-brushed-my-arm-twice spots (which we managed to stay in), but despite that, my boyfriend and I had an amazing time!

The first really beautiful day!
Today was just gorgeous! I walked outside for over an hour. On my walk I saw a car that was at a steep 45 degree angle against a phone pole it had “crashed” into…yet it had not really crashed as it was in perfect condition. It had basically slid up a cable and the cable had kept it inches away from the pole which then made the car untouched and the driver safe (as far as I know). I ran down the street to get my friend Gary and we watch in amazement as the fire department and towing crew got the car down without a scratch. Truly a miracle to brighten anyone’s day!
Then this evening my boyfriend and I went to Panera for dinner. Afterwards we found this new store called CBCB which carried a mix of vintage pieces and locally made items. Within moment I fell in love with this beautiful retro leather jacket! It’s perfectly fitted and nips in at the waist just as I like. I really had not planed to spend any money, but my boyfriend convinced me I had to treat myself and get it. I am quite glad I did, it’s not everyday you find THE perfect leather jacket.
Next we went to Finders music store and I got the CD by Zooey Deschanel and M. Ward, She and Him. I love her voice, and the music has a great old fashioned sound. I also got Scale by Matthew Herbert because the song “Something isn’t Right” has been stuck in my head for a while. What a lovely day!

I already loved Nylon as much as I thought possible, and now I love them even more for picking me as one of the winners in their reader art competition! Now they are sending me free clothing, shoes, etc in the mail. It’s the magazine’s birthday, but I get the loot, now THAT is generous! Thank you Nylon, love you!
