Sunday, June 27, 2010BallerinaI came across this beautiful portrait by Jean-Frederic Schall on the lovely 18th Century Blog , a must see if you love fashion from that era. I love this painting in particular because she looks so fun loving and not stuffy like some of the other portraits from that time. Apparently the lady in this painting was a ballerina in Paris.

Sunday, June 20, 2010Trend : Knit BikesOddly enough, I can’t stop coming across photos of knit bikes this summer! 1.) Free People clothing company creatively decorated a number of colorful bikes, and bike wheels, for use in their visual merchandising presentation.
All images from their blog (& ps check out the video tutorial I once made for the Free People Blog here! ) 2.) This bike has been popping up on many NYC based blogs lately such as Doe Deere Blogazine (where this image is from) . It is a creation of the artist Olek.
4.) This photo collection on Flickr contains the cream of the crop in bike decoration pictures, and links to further images.
