I am excited to say I finished my Marie Antoinette Halloween costume! (if you missed it, here is part 1 and part 2)
As for the accessories…
I picked up this white and gold lace fan at a store called Halloween USA
I bought these stockings from sockdreams.com
I got this petticoat off ebay
I found this bracelet I had totally forgotten about...I got it years ago at an antique store
These Irregular Choice shoes I already owned
and here is the wig...still in progress!
Next? Make a king Louis XVI costume for my boyfriend!

The other day when I was looking on Flickr for Marie Antoinette inspirations, I came upon Johanni’s photostream which is a delight to look at! I was especially fond of these great pictures she took of vintage Barbie dolls!
As I said in part 1, I wanted to make my own Marie Antoinette Halloween costume, and so far it’s going well! I am having a delightful time making this fancy little thing! Here is an update of what I have done so far:
Also, the wig came and I got a pink ostrich feather and some little pink roses to glue into it. I am probably going to hunt for a few more things to put in it, and I will post it all when I am done.
And while I’m on the subject of wigs, check out this wig!
My American Apparel 4-way stretch, high waisted pants!
When done right, high waisted pants are fabulous, glamorous, and very sexy for showing off curves!
I had been looking for a perfect pair for a while and finally decided on ordering American Apparel’s Four-Way stretch high waisted pants in jet black. They took about 12 days to come in the mail, but when I finally got them and tried them on, I was instantly in love! They fit great ( which is hard to do when you have wide hips and a small waist!), feel BEYOND comfortable, and look hot with a tucked in tee or blouse. They are a little pricey, but I know I will get my cost per wear down to nothing in no time because these were well worth the cost!
PS~ If you are on the short side you may want to check out these from Urabn Outfitters instead, because the pants I bought have zippers at the hem so it would be hard to have them shortened!
