New Year’s Eve!

Farewell 2011! What a year it was…A loving relationship between me and my boyfriend of seven years came to an end, as we parted ways. I ran my first marathon in April, and a second marathon in October. This year was the first news of a High School classmate passing away. I also saw Paul McCartney perform live, in what I consider the concert of a lifetime. I feel very blessed this year as my family is still in good health and my friendships in tact with the addition of a few more special people in my life. I hope 2012 will be a magical year for all of us!

Christmas Day 2011!

Here are my goods! Candles, mug, makeup, self published cook book by 2 of my best friends, Marilyn Monroe 2012 calendar, work shoes, vacuum cleaner, Christmas Mickey Mouse mug, boot kitty, and Vibrams!

My brother got me this fantastic vintage boot shaping kitty cat “Puss in Boots” - you stick it’s limbs in your tall boots to keep their shape! I love it!

I got a new pair of Vibrams! My old ones have been through several half marathons, 2 marathons, and all the training between March 2010 and today! I’m pretty excited to have new ones!

Later in the day we drove to the Wood County Historical Museum and took some family photos:

This adorable button up top was made from what used to be an XL 1980’s blouse. It was really outdated, but I thought the fabric was definitely salvageable for revamping! I cut the top apart, but left the buttons and collar in tact. Next, I cut the front and back pieces into a much smaller fit and added darts in both the front and back. I put white lace side panels down each side seam, knit lace around the arm holes, and shortened the hem by about 8”! What used to be a hideous blousen 80’s top, is now a very cute and fitted little shirt which can easily go from warm to cold weather because the print is season-less.
